Castle on the Hill | Ed Sheeran

This was one of the two singles Ed released after a year-long break he took in 2016. Of the two, this got my heart because Shape of You was overplayed already.

Talk about nostalgia. We can all relate to this song even if we did not do some of the things he mentioned in here. That was just his way of connecting to the listeners of his music. He brings us to places that make us emotionally unstable, at least for me.

What really made me love this so much was the bridge of the song. I wasn’t expecting it to be like that but it worked very well. We all have those friends and we all have different paths in life. There will be a time when some of them will be successful and some are not, some are happy and some are lonely. But we have to thank each other because we grew up with them and they played a part in our growth as a person.

In the weeks after its release, I can say that I repeated this for about 500 times or more. And every time it plays, the emotions that you feel are genuine and it never fades no matter if it goes on and on and on.
